Roma Trading Post Lodge is located a stone throw away from Lesotho’s capital Maseru and the airport, in the foothills of the mighty Maloti Mountains in Roma. The name stems from its rich history of being the base shop for pioneering trade into the mountains.
Travelers can expect a rustic and luxury destination, filled with many stories from its vibrant history. No matter whether you want to relax in our colourful gardens, by the swimming pools or to explore Lesotho, Roma is the starting point of your adventure.
Roma Trading Post Lodge is managed by the Lesotho Sky team, which hosts the annual 6-day mountain bike stage race. We look forward to sharing our wealth of adventure activities and gladly help you plan an unforgettable stay in Africa’s Mountain Kingdom.
Roma Trading Post Lodge is your base camp for exploring Lesotho and we facilitate many adventure activities, such as mountain biking, 4×4, offroad/enduro biking, hiking, horse riding, cultural tours as well as team building seminars and events.
MOUNTAIN BIKING
Lesotho is a superb place to ride a mountain bike. Lesotho is developing to be one of the best destinations in Africa to ride a mountain bike. The small kingdom is known for its natural, rough and rugged trails but there is still plenty of easier riding to be done. So come ride your mountain bike at Roma Trading Post lodge on the famous Lesotho Sky trails using our GPS tracks or with a local guide.

ROAD CYCLING
The road cycling in Lesotho is second to none. Thanks to the Lesotho Highlands Water project and a couple of mines, the road network in Lesotho is amazing with very little traffic. The high altitude and multitude of passes like Bushman’s Pass and Thaba Putsoa, Lesotho is the perfect place to train for big climbs or simply test yourself on Alpine style roads.
