Through our Bike Friendly Business Programme (a first for South Africa), we promote a countrywide network of businesses and venues that cater for cyclists and cycle tourists. Bicycle South is endorsed and supported by a dynamic network of partner organisations both in the tourism and cycle industry.

Leonie is the founder & creative director of Bicycle South. A designer & environmental activist, Leonie is passionate about sustainability and a keen advocate for bicycle cities. When she is not blogging on local bicycle culture, you’ll find her adventuring beyond the city limits on her touring bike.

Professional photographer, industrial designer and founder of Everyday Cycle Supply Co, David is passionate cycling enthusiast and regular contributor of adventure cycling routes. David also organises our S24o Bicycle MicroAdventure group and various community events.

Jon is a freelance writer, editor and photographer. He’s a frequent contributor to various publications, including go! and Bicycling. He has a garage full of steel bikes, which he rides as often as he can – usually to Kalk Bay in Cape Town for coffee, or into the forest behind Kirstenbosch.

Avid runner. Beer & food lover. Owner of BeerLab and hoarder of bicycles. Lynnae fell madly in love with steel bikes and riding gravel when she was lucky enough to do the very last Tour of Ara. Since then she's been seeking out long rides, with preferably lots of gravel. Bikepacking fascinated her for a long time (and ticked all the adventure boxes), and after finally seeing what it's like she can't get enough.
