Join us for the annual CycloFemme Global Ride as we mobilise Cape Town’s cycling community and support this incredible worldwide bicycle advocacy movement.

While touted as a ride for women, Cyclofemme is a fun, social ride open to all, celebrating and highlighting the role of women and minority groups in bicycling. Diversity in the cycling community means an opportunity for everyone to enjoy the freedom of two wheeled low carbon mobility!

The ride takes in the sights of Cape Town’s seafront promenade offering all skills of riders a chance to ride together for the sheer joy of it. Bicycle decorations, bicycle friends of all genders and identities are all welcome.

This 8km route starts at the Greenpoint Urban Park (at Tea in the Park cafe) and follows the traffic free cycleways through Sea Point to the Oranjezicht City Farm Market at Granger Bay for a refreshment stop. Participants are welcome to stay on at the market or return to the park.

Children age 10 and over (or younger if suitably skilled) may ride single bikes or on tandem, with an adult on the front. While younger children are encouraged and welcome to enjoy the lovely bike paths with a parent within Green Point Urban Park while the CycloFemme group heads to the waterfront market.
