Suikerbossie Guest Farm
Camping sites, glamping sites , 4×4 trails, hiking and wedding venue are found in the Western Cape at the most southern part of the Cedarberg on road 303 in the Kouebokkeveld between Ceres and Citrusdal.
Suikerbossie is a first generation farm belonging to this Hanekom family since in 1982, but has been in the Hanekom family name for more than 200 years.
This piece of paradise is situated in the southernmost part of the Cedarberg, in the Koue Bokkeveld between Citrusdal and Ceres on the R303. Being part of the Cedarberg Leopard Conservation area, we’re also protecting a large variety of small game which may be observed by spotlight during night rides. It is 30 km from Citrusdal and 90 km from Ceres. The farm was developed 34 years ago. Only 30 hectare are farmed with fruit, the rest – 1 400 hectare, is virgin land. Nature at its best! Suikerbossie is known for its river, canyons, and beautiful rock formations. It is a paradise for swimming in the summer. The Koue Bokkeveld’s best kept secret!
If you like water or hiking, Suikerbossie offers you canyons with the most beautiful waterfalls, hiking, mountain bike trails and a 4 x 4 route , a river to swim and canoeing to hire or bring your own, and nature at its most alluring.
Remember to bring the following: bathing suit, hat, binoculars, sun block, walking shoes, mountain bike, bird and mammal reference books and snorkeling equipment.
During summer, you can pick your own basket of fruit at different prices (depending on the basket size) from a choice of peaches, pears and citrus. Yes, citrus grows here in the summer!
