Rooiberg Breederiver Conservancy MTB Trail

Established in 2006, the Rooiberg Breede River Conservancy is 13,549 hectares of diverse wild life, bird species and unique veld with stunning views of the Langeberg and Rooiberg mountains. The scenic beauty of the area is one of the key attractions for tourists visiting historical Robertson, just 2 hours from Cape Town. This area has been identified as one of the top priority areas for conservation by the Succulent Karoo Ecosystem Programme (SKEP), the WWF initiated Lesley Hill Succulent Karoo Trust and the National Protected Area Expansion Strategy.

Rooiberg Breederiver Conservancy network of MTB trails covers 71kms through some of the most beautiful scenery in the area. There are three scenic routes – Rooiberg Winery, Roam Rooiberg and Saggy Stone and 13 km of single track with monthly night rides.
Daily permits: R30
Yearly permits: R300

Roam Rooiberg offers a 12km mtb trail over pristine Karoo landscape with breathtaking views, flowing, non-technical but really delightful singletrack. Short, Medium, Long and XL options to suit.

After your ride, visit the bike & coffee shop with the best view in Africa, sit on the terrace, order a home-made lunch and chill to the sound of silence.
