Outeniqua Mountain Lodge is a delightful refuge for those who need to escape from the world- the perfect place to catch your breath and stay for a while.
Situated on the scenic Prince Alfred’s pass only 55km from Knysna and Plettenberg Bay. The pass was built in 1860 along the route used for millennia by elephants. This natural corridor has unique flora and fauna as well as exceptional bird life and there are many examples of ancient ‘rock art’ dating back 6 000 years or more.
Comfortable, private accommodation is provided in four wooden lodges and the historical Bain’s Retreat as well as a fully equipped campsite.
The Venue is also an ideal place for retreats or group functions, featuring a small conference centre, lapa and simple catering facilities for up to 20 persons. There is no television, telephone or mobile reception in the valley. The Perfect place to enjoy the bright stars and silence of the farm.
