Misty Mountain Reserve

Bordering the Tsitsikamma National Park, theMisty Mountain Reserve, is nestled 230m above a rugged coastline, offers breath-taking views of the Indian Ocean, Tsitsikamma Mountains and indigenous forest.

The Khoisan, early inhabitants of the area, named the Tsitsikamma “the place of many waters” after the natural waterfalls. Steeped in history, from age old towns with carved out elephant poaching and trade routes, was the start of the N2. Few locations manage to convey the sense of peace and tranquillity of the Tsitsikamma. From its lush vegetation to its awe-inspiring coastal vistas, this unspoiled stretch of paradise within malaria free marine reserve, is home to an amazing array of animals and plant-life.
