Brackenhills Private Nature Reserve
Located in the majestic Langeberg mountains between Swellendam and Heidelberg on the Garden Route, lies the hidden treasure of Brackenhills Private Nature Reserve. Its untouched natural forests and indigenous vegetation borders one of Africa’s most precious nature parks and World Heritage site, the Grootvaderbosch Nature Reserve.
Brackenhills is dedicated to the conservation of wildlife and these indigenous forests, and is actively reintroducing and protecting natural wildlife like Cape Leopard, Cape Buffalo, Bontebok and the Mountain Zebra. The reserve is also home to a variety of smaller animals including the Lynx, Wild Boar, Klipspringer, Porcupine, with over 200 species of birds and many species of butterflies.

The reserve falls within the Grootvaderbosch Conservancy, with an extensive network of Mountain Bike Trails to explore!
