A popular stop off for cycling tour groups, Acorn Lodge welcomes cyclists. With golden beaches, pin-drop-silent forests, sweeping lakes and birds eye-view passes, George is an outdoor adventurers playground! There are various Mountain Biking trails in George – from forest MTB routes to the gravel roads of the Montagu Pass where you can enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.

Committed to sustainability Acorn Lodge employs a variety if energy and water saving, and recycling strategies. In addition, we offer a 5% discount to visitors arriving by bicycle, public transport or foot and we offer a free transfer service from local rail or coach stations.

The lodge also serves up a delicious South African flavoured breakfast and caters for all dietary needs – Halaal, vegetarian and banting. For our banters going on a adventure hike or mountain bike race, we offer a Banting to Go Brekkie!!
