Join cyclists from across the Southern Hemisphere and beyond for a weekend of bike camping, fun and adventure, with the annual Southern Campout – Equinox Bike Overnight on 21 September 2019.
Brought to you by Bicycle South and Everyday Cycle Supply Co., Southern Campout, is an annual celebration of the outdoors, adventure cycling and community.
For those folks who are new to bike camping, this is the perfect opportunity to connect with like-minded people and rediscover the simple pleasures in life – the warmth of a campfire and food and laughter shared with friends.
The great thing about an overnight campout is that you don’t need a lot of gear or to travel too far – simplicity is key and sometimes the best adventures can be found right on your doorstep. Just head over to the Southern Campout page on Bicycle South for inspiration and resources to help you plan your adventure and get geared up to roll.
To participate: sign up on the campout page (it’s free to join), choose your adventure and add your campout to our interactive map OR join a group campout in your area. We invite local bike shops, businesses and cycling groups to help stoke the fun by organizing campouts for their communities. In Cape Town, Southern Campout will be held at Miller’s Point campsite where you can join Bicycle South and friends for a fun-filled weekend of riding, camping and relaxing by the sea.
