ABOUT
Southern Campout, is an annual celebration of the outdoors, adventure cycling and community, brought to you by Bicycle South and Everyday Cycle Supply Co.
This year Southern Campout takes place near the Equinox on Saturday the 21st September. With the arrival of the spring, now is the perfect time to pack your camping gear on your bike and join cyclists from across the Southern Hemisphere for an overnight bike camping adventure.

GEAR & TIPS
For those new to bike camping the following links will help to get you geared up and ready to roll. Plus – our event partner Scuttle is offering a 30% discount on camping gear & bike bag rentals for the weekend to registered campers!
Bike camping is all about getting back to basics, with self sufficiency and autonomy being key. You will use your bike, or a combination of cycling and public transport (train, bus or ferry) to reach your intended camping spot. While you need to carry your food and camping gear etc with you, you can make some pitstops along the way to refuel or pick up supplies. The great thing about an overnight campout is that you don’t need a lot of gear or to travel too far – simplicity is key and sometimes the best adventures can be found right on your doorstep!
