Four-star graded, The Queen of Calitzdorp offers fifteen (15) luxury end-suite rooms, most with balconies and stunning views over the adjacent Boplaas vineyards and the Nel’s river valley or over the town towards the Swartberg mountain range. This eco-friendly guesthouse is largely powered by solar panels and makes use recycling and water saving and harvesting initiatives.
As a Bike Friendly Certified venue, The Queen of Calitzdorp provides bike storage for overnight guests and a range of bike friendly amenities e.g. bike wash area and Ebike charging (see below).
There are several scenic routes in the area for cycling enthusiasts. Some are quick and easy routes and some will take the good part of a day. For the more adventurous, the multi-day Karoo Crossing route which starts/ends in Calitzdorp should be on your must ride list.
The Queen of Calitzdorp is in walking distance of Boplaas, De Krans and Calitzdorp Cellar wine-tasting rooms. Day tours can be arranged to many of the popular tourist attractions in the area including Seweweekspoort, Die Hel, Prince Albert, De Rust, Cango Caves and working ostrich farms.
