Escape to the land of contrasts, where the rigorous climate has created a myriad of life forms superbly adapted to their specific habitat. Fields of flowers, star studded nights, quiver trees, enormous granite outcrops and the icy Atlantic are but a few wonders that await the visitor.
Visitors can enjoy self-catering accommodation at the Skilpad Rest Camp or enjoy various camping options along the coast. The main entrance, reception, administrative offices and prime accommodation are all at Skipad. During the flower season, in spring, we host a temporary luxury camp at the coast that is run by a private operator.
Namaqua National Park lends itself well to mountain biking with a wide range of roads and terrains. There are no formal trails, but visitors can cycle on any road or track open to the public, although the coastal section is too sandy for mountain bikes. Visitors should bring their own bikes.
