Kromrivier Cederberg Park

The Crystal clear waters of the mountain streams, the orange and yellow mountain kranzes gleaming in the bright sunlight that turn purple as the sun sets, ultimately to be transferred to sentries silhouetted against the starlit sky.

In the heart of the Cederberg 280km North of Cape Town lies a farm Kromrivier, home to Cederberg Park. This breathtakingly beautiful part of the world with its aroma of buchu, rooibos tea and Cederwood has been home to the Nieuwoudts for seven generations.

Found in 1960’s by Rensie & Olive Nieuwoudt. Today this is the oldest tourist destination in the Cederberg Mountains.

Kromrivier, bordering the Cederberg Wilderness Area, with its chalets and camping sites, is intended primarily for those seeking rest and quiet.

“Fancy a place where the kids can spend hours riding their bikes, splashing in a river or dam, climbing trees and going horse riding? Cederberg Park on Kromrivier Farm offers guests free rein in an adventure paradise that’s part of the Cederberg Conservancy.” – Getaway Magazine
