Set on a spectacular 400-hectare estate high in the Winterberg Mountains, this tranquil mountain retreat combines inviting accommodation and a 18 hole championship golf course, now ranked in South Africa’s top 100 courses. CYCLING IN THE KATBERG AREA

Katberg Ecological Golf Estate, is the ideal venue for exploring the little known cycle routes of the Katberg area and the Winterberg ranges. Here you will find great riding along dirt roads and a few singletrack sections through a mix of montane forest, plantations and mountain grassland.  Look out for bush pig, bushbuck, touraco, rare Cape Parrot and samango monkeys as you pedal through lush forests and streams in this dirt paradise. Cycle maps of the area are available from reception.
