Gary and Kathy Jordan have been making world-class wines at this top wine estate since 1993 on a farm with a history going back over 300 years. Together this husband and wife team is a phenomenon. Gary’s parents, Ted and Sheelagh, bought the 164 hectare Stellenbosch property in 1982, and embarked on an extensive replanting programme, specialising in classic varieties suited to the different soils and slopes.
The soils at Jordan have evolved from 600 million year old Cape Granite, and range from deep, well-drained clay-loam to gravelly and sandy duplex soils situated on clay. The Jordan philosophy combines the vineyards’ natural assets with innovative management, creating a profound expression of terroir. It also includes a profound respect for nature with a selection of indigenous flora and fauna to be found on the farm.
With world-class wines available to taste & purchase, the estate also is home to 13 luxury suites, The Bakery @ Jordan, The Restaurant at Jordan with Chef George Jardine and a link to the Bottelary Mountain Bike route. Day permits for the trails are available from The Bakery @ Jordan.

Take a stroll to The Bakery at Jordan and enjoy breakfast on both mornings before hitting the trails again.
In the afternoon, enjoy a Reserve Tasting of three of our premium wines: Nine Yards Chardonnay, Cobblers Hill and the very limited – Sophia. You won’t go hungry, we will add a cheese & charcuterie platter to enjoy with your tasting or back in your suite.
