We are a well-established cycling business who can assist with a wide range of products at competitive prices. We offer personalised, excellent service and quality. Early in 1986, Johan Hugo bought Cyclosport as a result of his love for the sport and the desire to live out his passion by making a difference in the industry. However, it turned out that Eloff Hugo, his youngest son, was the one who fulfilled the vision his father had.

Since his high school days Eloff enjoyed cycling and especially loved figuring out the ins and outs of bicycles and how to maintain it best. Needless to say, this has evolved quite dramatically over the years and bikes are most definitely more complicated than what anyone probably could have foreseen in the 80’s. Just thinking about the latest technology in electronic shifting for road and mountain bikes… This challenge is what keeps exciting Eloff, staying in tune with the progressing technology and offering customers the best personalised service at an affordable price.

The staff has grown to a team of 7 people, all with one goal… Giving customers’ value for money, best suited to their unique cycling needs. This was confirmed by the customers who voted for us when Cyclosport was awarded the accolade of “Best bicycle shop in the Western Cape” in 2011 – Bicycling Magazine, Issue Jan 2012.

We offer customers a one stop service, with a wide range of bicycles for the whole family, stocking most of the major brands. There is a variety of accessories and apparel to make your bicycle experience even more pleasant. We also service and repair all makes of bicycles and are committed to quality service.

For many years the shop has been a landmark, as you enter Kuilsrivier on the right hand side of Van Riebeeck Road. The shop itself also changed quite a bit in terms of “look and feel” over the years, with the latest revamp being completed recently.

The recent launch of the online shop on our website makes it easier for customers who cannot always shop during daytime to connect with us after hours. The online shop facility also enables us to extend Cyclosport’s footprint into the rest of South Africa.
