Bushwillow Park
Nestled in the lush indigenous forests of Karkloof, close to popular Mountain biking trails, is a true hidden gem – Bushwillow Park!
The Shaw family have farmed here since 1852, with the Karkloof range being one of the largest privately owned indigenous forests and the pride and joy of all the five generations who’ve lived there.
A Hikers, birders and lovers of flora and fauna, have over the years enjoyed disappearing among the “giants” for a day, far from the bustle of everyday life. The bushwillow, Combretum Kraussii, flourishes in this area, hence the name Bushwillow Park. The seasonal colour changes are spectacular.
Bushwillow Park has fully equipped self catering cottages and the grassed caravan sites that offer a truly relaxing experience.
Activities include swimming in the dams, the Midlands Meander; the Farmer’s Market and of course the Karkloof Conservancy and the Sappi mountain bike trails.
