Our Bike Buddies programme is taking on the Cape Town Cycle Tour! If you are wanting to ride this event and are looking for advice on gear and preparation, or would like to join some social rides with like minded people… please get in touch we will be organising some social training rides in the Cape Town area (see contact info below).
The Bike Buddies program is free of charge and led by Kirsten Wilkins, bicycle advocate, instructor, mechanic and long distance riding nutter. Kirsten sees the Bike Buddies programme as a valuable way of growing confidence and building a stronger community of bicycle riders.
Donations as a thank you are welcome as Kirsten is raising funds for the Unogwaja Challenge Charity where she is leading a team of 23 bicycle riders from Cape Town to Pietermaritzburg across 1780km of South Africa in 10 days to run Comrades on day 11. Funds go directly to early education programmes supporting early childhood education in language and maths.
